Hon. Elizabeth Juma
Vice Treasurer
Hon. Elizabeth Juma is a Chief Magistrate in the Judiciary of the Republic of Kenya. She holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B), a post graduate diploma from Kenya School of Law and is currently pursuing her Masters (LL.M). She is currently stationed at Milimani Law Courts in Nairobi and is attached to the Anti-Corruption Court.
Prior to her appointment as a Magistrate in 2004, she practiced law as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, based in Nairobi. She then joined the bench where she has served as a Magistrate for 18 years now, rising to her current rank.
She has held several leadership positions. Notably, she served as the Regional Chairperson of the Kenya Magistrates and Judges Association (KMJA) and currently serves as a vice treasurer of IAWJ-Kenya Chapter (International Association of Women Judges). She currently serves as a Vice Chair and Board Member of Sheria Sacco Society and a member Board of Managements Kenyenya Teachers Training College and Riokindo Girls High School.
She is a Christian, a staunch adherent of Seventh Day Adventist faith. She is currently serving in various offices such as, the Church Clerk and Adventist Young Professionals Ministry advisor at her local Church. She is also an Executive Committee Member of ENF and the East Kenya Union Conference (EKUC).
She is very involved in the sensitization of legal rights. She is a mentor to many, especially to women, the youth, and children. Hon Juma is married and a mother.
